I dont think so, let me make a few better pics.
Hard to see, but IMO it was red or orange patches of paint and then repainted to the thick green green. Hard to see, you will see when i bring them

Nope i dont have it, i use lemon acid and linseed oil. All the helmets will lose the oil shine in a few days.
They've come up really good. I like relics, how many lemons per helmet and do you use just a dab of linseed oil?

Not real lemons, i use lemon acid that you buy for food and cooking (grains that dissolve in water). I oil it with oil until its covered, but small amounts at a time.

    Ahhhhh, thanks.

Go for it James, I don't have one at the moment that needs a clean so will be on the look out for something half decent to give it a go.

Or rather "citric acid", which I think will give you more hits when searching for this type of product. I've been using this for a long time as well, in powdered form, it's the best non-intrusive and non-toxic way of cleaning relics. Nice results indeed and you won't have to worry about potential toxic effects either!

Look forward to seeing more results!

Vinegar can also be used but it takes a long time.

Ive cleaned almost all the helmets, i wont clean the numbers 6 and 7 since there is nothing to clean. The box is a bit cleaned and oiled again, didnt clean the shield yet since Audi is in the garage and i dont have much room and also i was still a bit dead from the new year . I will take photos of the remaining helmets tomorrow (today) and clean the shield outside, so i will probably come to you on utorak.
