Hi guys, know I promised you this like, two weeks ago or something, but I was being lazy. So I've decided to show you the results of a long brush of the helmet, took the metal bit in the middle out. Brushing it also revealed a very nice, smooth part of paint in the inside of the helmet, made it more presentable, nothing's falling off of it anymore making everything dirty either, which is a plus!
Anyway, what do you think I should do to the helmet next?

50g for every 4L of water seems to be a general ratio. The other variable is time (in the solution) so you will have to be the judge of that by monitoring the rate of rust loss versus paint fading.
Best you read some of the threads in the restoration section for further advice.
Still has a good bit of paint. Now the challenge, can you remove the rust stains from the paint? If you want to try. Some people have done it with good results on this thread.
