    There’s paint in those pitting holes. I feel this a relic helmet done up with new paint with scratched decals left out side in the rain for bit....

    with that decal the helmet should have a Q stamp , can you see this or the lotnr ?

    Certainly it's had some serious cleaning up. The national shield decal, or what it left of it doesn't look right to me.

    Thank you for your reply! In the pit, there was no green paint, the flag logo had green paint on it, the eagle had no green paint on it, but the paint around the eagle cracked.

    You have to be careful using such cleaning solutions around decals, its great for eating rust but not so good on fragile decals.

    Looks this way to me too - especially in picture number 4.
    Difficult to be sure without having it in hand.
