Article about: Good looking helmet. Especially after being buried for so many years.

Lovely helmet, once cleaned up I think you would get a lot more than 300$.

If it was me buying it, i would probably be willing to pay a maximum of $450.

Upon some reflection and thought I'd actually revise my estimate to $350-400 as well... easiest way, I guess, would be to let the market decide by offering up at auction or entertaining best offers.

Great helmet Maris - still lots of good stuff to be found under the ground!

How lucky and exciting to have the chance to go out and dig items like this up! Wish I had the ability to visit such a place and do some digging. It's a great M40 and it's definitely a plus that the head band is still present. Cant expect the leather liner to still be intact after spending so much time buried, but most definitely a worth while helmet.

Sure you can, it just depends on the soil conditions.

Great ground dug helmet! Must a thrilling to dig this stuff up with your own hands. I imagine it makes the items a little more personal.
