M40 Heer - tan overpaint?

Hi all! Got this shell cheap today. I used lemon acid and a decal showed up

But; the outside doesnt look like rust bleed or anything, there is paint under and some brush strokes. Also isnt the same inside, inside is rust only. Looks how i removed it more while cleaning the decal.

Could have been brush painted green at one time. To me on my cell phone, granted, it looks like rust.

Hi, for me this is not a tan over paint but just discoloration from rust. If you look at the decal there is the same shade of "tan" showing through from underneath the decal so it is not for me a tan paint on top of it. Leon.

Damn! But still, for less than 15e im happy. Very nice feeling when while you clean the helmet and then a decal pops up. Ahhhh

Yeah... looks like lots of rust all over with a few areas of regular green paint left. Nice to find a decal under there though...

Oiled. No tan but 2 shades of green. Nice one for me.
