Cheers guys! part of me feels as if I won't be able to stop at just one helmet! Do you guys know of the best place to purchase helmets in a similar condition?

As for the helmet itself it was found in Wolchow on the Eastern Front!

As much as I hate the place, Ebay is probably your best bet for fresh relic helmets.

I would suggest saving your money and buying nice original helmets in much better condition. You will feel a lot more satisfied with your collection in the end.

Ebay seems like a bit of a no go zone around here! (Not without good reason, however)

And I see your point about saving for a helmet in better condition, I would ideally like a nice M40 or M42 with no decals and with original liner somewhere down the line, but I realize that it wont be for a while given that I'm just about to start university and I wont have the money!

As soon as I have the funds however you and I both know where it will be going!
