Well got this one in the post this afternoon. I am quite happy with it, nice finish to it and still carrying quite abit of the original paint. M40 but no lot number visible or Maker, but on the back rear skirt I can make out a D or E

I know I know, SS are always on fake alert but I got this quite cheap and am happy with the look. Quite chuffed

Very nice lid there VolksJager, perhaps that D on the skirt is the first part of a "DN" prefix..

Also, the P08 I can see in the background, is that a replica or the real deal? I ask because I'd love one and I also live in Australia.

Edit: Yeah I am thinking it s DN prefix as the air vents make it look like a Q lid, probably a 64 comparing to my other helmets

The P08 not the real deal Joshua, just a denix I have made to look abit better than usual

    That looks fantastic VolksJager!

You've done a real proper job on it! Much better than the standard finish! What are they like? Mechanisms working? Magazine release? I'm in the market after I recouperate after my latest helmet

Yeah cock and click and mag come out and safety works, cept you cant strip it. Does the job as a place holder though. Saw a couple of real lugers here in WA the other week when I was picking up my deactivated Kar98k, and they looked splendid. Costly though!

Here in WA the denix stuff will set you back around $270 for the pistol.
