New relic helmet. Anybody know the type or anything?

Just traded for this, really like the relic helmets the best as they tell a story and are cheap! LOL If you guys have any input on what type it is I would like to know. Thanks-

Looks like a model 42.

Yep its an M42 Single decal Heer lid. The makker stamp should be where your left ear would be and batch number on the back skirt. Nice rough green finish still. Would clean up nicely with just a warm soapy bath and a soft cloth and then some renaissance wax

Cool- thanks for the info, I will try some warm water clean up and that wax sounds good. I can't find the makers mark. Found what looks like a 56 stamped in the back but that's about all I could find. I really like these banged up lids. If anybody out there has some and they would would trade for Native American artifacts just give me a hollar!

The markins will either be on the right side skirt or the rear, the "56" you found will be one of two things, either the part of the lot no/ or misread "66" which would be the size
