    Default Real relic or fake?

I picked this one up on ebay a while back for a pretty fair price from a guy in Latvia (if I remember correctly). Supposedly a ground dug relic from the Kurland area. It looks okay to my untrained eye but what do you guys think? I MIGHT have asked about this before but I don't recall doing that and didn't find anything in the archive posts. If I DID then please accept my apologies.

Yea... Its not very cost effective to bury a helmet and wait years to have it rust like this! These are pretty safe buys if its what your after. The SS relics, whole different ballgame.

i have one or two of them myself but they are a pain in the a$$ when it comes to clear the dust off them or try to move them. Rust parts falling off constantly and make a mess of the place they are placed! Nice items nevertheless!

    Smile Dust solution

My solution to the dust problem is placing a clear plastic bag over the helmet. Works for me.
