What do you think about it ??
The gates of hell were opened and we accepted the invitation to enter" 26/880 Lance Sgt, Edward Dyke. 26th Bn Northumberland Fusiliers , ( 3rd Tyneside Irish )

Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader

M42 and hard to fake this and rather pointless, so probably a good decal IMO.

It looks ok to me , a very rusty heer M42 , and as the others say "why fake this" as the value is less than if it were a fake helmet in good order for a re-enactor to use! Leon.

Can you tell a bit about where they were found? I find it interesting they are so very rusty

Good IMO. The maker on this one is much more difficult to discern. Almost certainly not an EF from the shape of the skirt, and almost certainly not an hkp from what is seen of the vent. Definitely not a Q as they are too rare and wouldn't have a decal anyway, so likely ckl or NS. I learn toward NS.
