    Another of mine is this rough field overpaint - a size 64 Quist ( I think ) as the skirt is too rusted to see. ( Lot number seems to be 405 )
    Decals were cleaned up by an overexcited finder - the last photos show the as found condition ( I think Glenn had concerns about them being 'dug' ) and certainly the scrubbing has affected the eagles feathers but it was actively rusting so ........ ah, well.

    And I still think they've been dug!

    But who cares? If a piece of art is found to have a Rembrandt hidden underneath it I'd be digging that sucker out too!
