thanks for the compliments guys and i agree relics are very special they display well especially in groups and are quite reasonable on the pocket too and they are all unique in appearance ive been bitten by the relic bug and as i type i await 2 more relics a battle weary m42 completely shot out and another ssh 36 they will be added to my increasing relic display and i will post pics as and when ,the soviet lids are losing the battle for control in my displays now i must admit and im sure over time it will purely be stahlhelms only in there

been looking at this m40 in closer detail and wonders whether this is the remenants of a heer eagle ,it definately has a shield shaped mark below the vent ,any thoughts guys
