I purchased this Helmet back in 1998, I did so with the blessing of some collectors that stated the Shop was a good one and had been to and from the USSR and Europe often, I assume its accurate but whatever it is it brings a history of some poor soul....anyway it sits in my Den and I thought I'd post it.

Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.

Yes the story I got when I found it was this shop was buying from people over there...but at the same time their were photos supporting the digs, However I did not scan them. It was Russia for sure but I could have been anywhere...The shop claimed it was and I really did not pay much back then so its a maybe maybe not. The other helmets are just used for reenacting, The SS decal is nice and shiny as is the Helmet, I use a Waffen SS Cover 90% of the time.
