lots of remnants of black post war overpaint on that one!! ( I think what "looks" like a rune is actually that. )
Too much fiddling matey, leave it alone I reckon.

My thoughts exactly on the black paint. Dont really collect relics but it looked interesting. I know we dont discuss values here but what would a market price for a piece like that.

You are correct. Evaluate it at the value of a comparable no decal helmet.
