This is an 18lber Shrapnel round i have just finished today,
Its been an on off job for about 5 years ,it started as an expended relic projectile,At first it looked in reasonable condition after years in the ground it still retained traces of the original paint and markings,,unfortunately this all fell off revealing the usual heavily pitted body.Luckily i had taken some photos before it started to fall apart. The body was filled and repainted with the markings duplicated as per the originals mentioned before, all the extra parts i picked up over the years ,,No80 fuze, central tube pusher plate ,original tin charge cup.Today i finished it off by cutting the cartridge and replicating the cordite .Its taken a long time but im pleased with the outcome

    Hi Spotter,
As per usual a great job done, You are the man for sectioning
items. I did my first section job on a No36, as you showed on B.O.C.N, Superb mate, museum quality item. five years well spent,
    Dave.
