read the topics there is a lot of info
There seem to be two schools of thought regarding the rust removal. The Oxalic acid method and the electrolysis method. It seems the oxalic acid method can be used in about 10 minutes or so while the electrolysis requires maybe several days while the process takes effect.
My question is this: In which situations would anyone choose one method over the other? Is one better at preserving paint or decals?
I have a rusty M35 coming to me and i'd like to be prepared beforehand with the right materials to handle some rust removal prior to its arrival.
Thanks in advance for any comments.

Dimas can you recall where this one was found mate , at Narva ?
I read in this forum about using Vinegar to remove rust. I have tried it on several helmets and I can only tell you that it is fantastic, and not nearly as caustic as Oxalic acid. Put it in a plastic bucket and use full strength it is very inexpensive. It really knocks out the rust in about three days. It will make quite a bit of brown foam over this time, so be aware. Try it!
