I detest garbage like this and the people who sell them , yes he says it's a fake but the next time it appears for sale it will probably suddenly be " original " and someone else will get conned !!

Thought shall be the harder , heart the keener,
Courage the greater as our strength faileth.
Here lies our leader ,in the dust of his greatness.
Who leaves him now , be damned forever.
We who are old now shall not leave this Battle,
But lie at his feet , in the dust with our leader
House Carles at the Battle of Hastings
ive been seeing a lot of wire and camo helmets. were the wire helmets used that much
Sorry. For me, it was convincing. Expecually for me because I just started
Once you see enough original examples, you will start to subconsciously recognize the 'look' that they have, and fakes will tend to stick out as obvious. The sad thing is that this particular helmet isn't nearly as good as some others. There are people out there who know how to make some nasty ones. :/
Well guys this seller "EASY GREEN"has in the past turned out some good budget lids.what i mean is a few years back when stocks were more readily available he was useing original shells which wasn't so bad but like all business has looked towards modern repro shells which as already mentioned are not that convincing at all,but the worry is that the MFG and size are stamped as per originals so again as paul has stated it will only be a matter if not already time before one of these turn up at a fair being sold as complete all original and another poor tax payer has been robbed.at least the M1'S are usually original US made even if they are sometimes postwar made, regards minnie.
I agree that this one is not convincing - would only fool a very novice collector. Education is the key to collecting anything and sometimes it can be costly.
It would fool me
