Cleaning with brake oil

I want you to pay attention on this red canister. It has original paint underneath. I agonized myself with cleaning it using nitro. Nitro is good, but very slow. But then I remembered that brake oil corodes paint. It's agressive.
All you have to do is to dip peace of cloth in oil and leave it day or two on piece thaht you want to clean. After that, you take clean piece of cloth and clear it. Or wit hot water under pressure.

I wouldn't recommend this for cleaning helmets. Decals may go away also!!!

Here's the result! This red colour in front is base colour- canister was damaged before. At the back, you can see new red colour penetrating in rusty part.

Yes, it's quite good, but everything depends on the quality of the colour that needs to be removed. I had some pieces that took me days and some that took only couple of hours.
