    Default Green Medal?

I have a Vietnam Campaign Medal that is turning green, was turning when I purchased it, doesn't appear to have worsened. Should I leave it or clean it up? I've had it about a year now and never did know what to do with it.

The 'green' is called 'Verdigris' - taken partly from the French word 'vert' (green).

This usually happens when copper, bronze or brass is in contact with leather
and or humid conditions - perhaps caused by the way it was stored by
    it's previous owner.

Most of it should wipe off with your finger and a tissue without spoiling
the original patina much, but as these medals are not too expensive,
you could find a replacement in better condition.........
    Regards,

    Steve.

Personally, I'd wipe it off and clean it up abit-but nothing harsh.
