Heer M42 helmet project

Article about: In Ken N.'s book he shows his ET74 helmet that has been welded back together. Perhaps this was a wartime modification? Either way, good luck on the restoration! Can you read the factory stam

    G'day Dave, Mad? Definately!! Yes very much trial and error and haveing neither doing this before or even handling an A/OX helmet i was somewhat flying blind but it's done now, i dont know if it's too much or what but i'm pretty happy with the result,will post some more pics.

    Heer M42 helmet projectHeer M42 helmet projectAs Dave had said earlier i had to remove a bit of A/OX here and there and fill in a few bald spots but for this i just used the top coat and this is pretty much the end result.
