As you can see the seem in the leather which should line up with the rear rivet is way off line so i had to pull it apart and reposition it...."not a lot of fun" and then i aged it a little.

Just a little bit of liquid shoe polish and a dab of cigarette ash.... but by the time i actually got it in it had a smudge or two of blood just to add a bit of myself

Hey Phil I see you had fun trying to put the liner in I was tightening up the pins and washers in my M42 and I thought it was a lot like sticking your fingers in a mouse trap I dont know how many time I pinched my fingers and swore blue blazes at that helmet .Hell of a job Phil looks good on you.
