    The black is actually "Matt" but it looks glossy coz it's wet, it helps to show up any minor imperfections that may need attention and my way of thinking is if i decide to age the helmet and scratch it up it should look like old wear rather than new grey primer or even the pink filler showing through.

    I made that years ago out of a 44 gallon drum Glenn, i had it slid over the flu on my woodheater in my shed, but i"ve moved since and he came with me

    Mate that helmet is looking great! I did one a few years ago but not to the same standard that you've done, you can really the results from the effort your putting in.
