Very nice professional looking refinish. Now it looks Good again. One note, though, I noticed the earlier suggestion of heating it super hot and doing the oil treatment to blue it...Personally, it may be just me, but I would cringe at the thought of applying a lot of heat to the receiver of a gun....I would question as to whether this would take the temper out of the steel and make for a danger piece ready to blow up when fired. Just a thought. William

You did a great job on the rifle, it looks much better now!!! Cheers, Robert
well gent's i think these will be the last pic's for the thread. i had hoped for some sunshine here, but its foggy instead. so the natural lighting i was hoping for is crap. last nights pic's were a bit blurry. so i tried to do better today. i tried different lighting. i'm trying to show it clear enough. the last few pic's will be before and after shots. i hope you guys think i captured that "used" but well cleaned look. now i feel better about giving it to one of my boys. the other son can get the 44 DOT 98k.
thank you all for the nice feedback on my project. Andrew
Bravo!
Very nice job, Andrew.
