Dimas,
I'm going to quit there while I'm ahead. Better a bit survives than what was there before. Problem with this is there is no return after, no second chance!
I will not have to do this again.
Regards
Jock

I've come to this a bit late it appears. The paint is modelling enamel. to remove it i would use turpentine and a soft cloth. It takes hours but is a lot milder than acetone and therefore kinder to any remaining decal. This is a method readily used by model makers.

'I do not think we can hope for any better thing now.
We shall stick it out to the end, but we are getting weaker of course, and the end cannot be far.
It seems a pity, but I do not think I can write more. R. SCOTT.
Last Entry - For God's sake look after our people.'
In memory of Capt. Robert Falcon Scott, Edward Wilson, Henry Bowers, Lawrence Oates and Edgar Evans. South Pole Expedition, 30th March 1912.
Ned,
Better late than never. I will remember that if I ever have to do this again. I hope I won't!
Thanks
