M40 Restoration

Article about: Can you post pics of the vent from the inside of the helmet? Annoyed from this ads?

    Hello KradSpam,
Thank you, I could well be wrong (usually am!) but I seem to recall reading that a very small number of early Luftwaffe M40s
    were DDs?
I like it as a DD.
The helmet, liner, chinstrap, and rivets were 100, plus paint and decals.

What a great job you did!!!! I love restoring helmets myself, to some it might be a waste of money and time and to some it might be a destruction of a perfectly fine helmet. I restored my M42 which was in bad shape, the end result is worth every penny, every minute, and every single negative comment made by others.

So cheers to you, it is a great looking helmet; preserved for future generations of collectors.
