I did the rim and put another coat of primer on, hard to tell from the pictures I took but the rim is pretty smooth!

That's a hell of a difference from the first set of pictures!
You couldn't tell they are the same helmet.
Very impressed indeed.

I am looking forward to seeing how you paint it and adding the white camo.
Will you have it so the decal is clearly visable, or paint over it with the white?
I am still waiting on the paint I ordered to arrive so I can continue with the M40 I am half way through.

Luftwaffe blue grey, I have everything except the paint.
I tried a spray can, but didn't like the finish.
The slightest touch would leave a mark.
The other one I did was a field grey in a spray can and that was fine.
This paint I am waiting for is enamel based so I will see how I get on with that.

What paint are you using?
