My old trophies got faded, how to restore?
Hi there,
I was thinking, how I can restore my old medals and trophies. It got faded now, the wooden base and the color. I was looking for ideas to make the trophy look new. I was thinking to paint the trophy with gold and apply polish to the wooden surface. But many of my friends suggested to get expert advice for repairing and I read that self-repairing sometimes cause damages Can I Repair My Own Trophy? | Hoult-Hellewell. Also, I am not confident in doing the painting too. I was thinking how much it cost for professional repairing of 20 trophies? Any better solution for regaining its color?

Find a trophy collecting forum as it unlikely you will find answers on a militaria site.
