those are some great looking restored helmets , i am of the opinion that as long as your honest about it being restored then we all know where we stand ,i bet you would be amazed how many so called original helmets have the odd reproduction part added , my favorite is your luftwaffe m1916 helmet i have a 1916 in relic condition and a ssch 39 i would love to restore these to there former glory Click image for larger version.

I like your Luftwaffe M42. You did a great job on the paint and ageing.

The one I am doing at the moment will most likely be a single decal SS M40. I used 1944 Militaria's feldgrau dunkel paint and it turned out very nicely. Be warned, though, if you are looking for a textured finish you will need to get aluminum oxide from somewhere else as they don't include it with the spraypaint. The pictures on their website are a bit deceiving in that way, they lead to to believe you get some texture.

    LOOKING FOR:
Functioning No. 4 Mk I or Mk I* Enfield Rifle
    Japanese Type 90 Helmet
Functioning M1 Carbine or M1 Garand
    Soviet WWII-era M35 or M43 Gymnasterka
Wound Badge in Black marked '65' in any condition!
