    Citric acid. I use one bag (100g) on 10 liters of water.

    Hmmm this is interesting, i'm going to dig out one of my Heer relic buckles and give it a go. My gran used to swear by lemon juice for cleaning limescale!...

    Interesting alternative to oxalic acid, but I still want to know how long it should be "bathing"?

    For preserving the paint i use oxalic acid.Citric acid is to strong and it wil remove also paint.For 1 liter of water i add 100g oxalic acid and bathtime is 1 hour.For neutralliseng i use sodium hydroxide.
