Trench art needs identifying
Hi there - hope someone can help me . I am trying to identify the type of shell etc of a piece of trench art. We bought this in a junk shop in Germany about 20 years ago - not really knowing what it was.
The sculpture is of a number of flowers in a Van-Gogh style (ish) in a shell casing. The flowers and stems are all very heavy metal.
The casing has a some numbers on the bottom - "1447", then what I think says "GB "with the number 28 underneath, A single letter "T" there are then three interlinked rings in a triangle shape (hope this makes sense to someone!!) I have hopefully attached some pictures. Any advice and thoughts would be great.
