    Look at the ears of this buckle, very characteristic of Overhoff, compare the rear to a late war unmarked Overhoff SS you will see what I mean

    Thankyou for confirming that there are no marks under the pin shroud.

    Actually and to be correct, the buckle is SHD rather than "Luftschutz".

    This design is encountered in steel, aluminium and zinc alloy, with the steel edition being the most common. To my knowledge, there are 3 "types" by markings as (1) GB on the lip and a number underneath the pin shroud, (2) R S & S on the lip and (3), no markings whatsoever. You of course hold (3).

    I have attached images of the Brehmer and Sieper SHD buckle, along with yours. Although the one you have displays the box ears jolly similar to the Sieper SHD, note the quite different style of brazed on catch.
