It could be the Tigers kill, but i see how it is using the t-34 for cover, as its barrel is aims right.... Very interesting, and smart!!

I wonder why those poor chaps are outside the tank wrecks and not inside where I suppose they were killed?

    Emile,

There are loads of reasons why they would be outside, the most likely one being that they were injured/on fire when they bailed out and subsequently died in situ. In fact if you look at a couple of the pics you can see that they have burned, so presumably were on fire when they bailed out.
The main cause of death of tank crews in WWII was fire, not firearms. Not for nothing where tanks known as "steel coffins" or in the Shermans case "Ronsons" or "Tommy Cookers"

    Hi Jimpy,

I did not know the majority was killed by fire. I would have thougt concussion or wound trauma would be the major problem. But bailing when you are on fire is very logical of cours.
    Thanks for reacting.
    Cheers, Emile

Awesome pictures. Especially of the burning T-34. Never seen one before like that
