    as part of local reserve units in the late 60's and 70'd

    Got more time to write now, the above pic was taken in Kabul in 2003, Ive another somewhere showing a frontal view of the T34-85, diddnt want to get much closer off the road....just in case.

    thanks for sharing these amazing photos, I wonder how much longer these tanks will still be visible for? because some of them are almost covered in sand!

    T 34 in the Banias river near the Golan
    The Syrian tank fell to the river while trying to make a counter attack
    against Israeli forces and slipped to the river with the entire crew
    inside, never been open since 1967
