    That's some bloody wide tracks for a little thing like that ! They'd weigh more than the chassis !

    They look wider than combat tracks for the Tiger, i reckon its a purpose built vehicle for boggy terrain, mind you what was that Canadian version of the Bren carrier called

    In this article you will learn about the American track-snow vehicle transporter B-3. These machines were delivered to the USSR under the Lend-Lease program and participated in military operations in the most northern parts of the Soviet-German front.

    During the Second World War in service of most armies in the world there are many different types of armored vehicles and special machinery, designed based on them.

    By construction, the chassis armored personnel carriers, which were issued during this period, were divided on the wheel, semi-tracked, crawler. Wheeled armored vehicles were used mainly by the U.S. Army, semi most widely in the German and American armies, crawler - in English.

    Some form of specialised armoured snow tractor-would be Soviet as they had the greatest experience/need for such a thing (although of course other forces worked on high mobility kit like the Weasel).
