As Thomas has confirmed, this is a perfectly original SA buckle.

The design of the roundel is I think common, although it is still quite interesting. The buckle appears within the Assmann catalogue, however I do not think that the design is exclusive to the company of F W Assmann & Söhne.

This buckle is found with both (1) brass and (2) nickle on brass boxes. In addition, a brass and/or nickle silver roundel to the brass box and a nickle silver roundel to the nickle on brass box.

What are the markings to the strap by the way ?
