S.A. Wehrmannschaften
This is I think a very popular buckle within the collecting community, albeit now, a buckle becoming harder and harder to find in near mint condition and also, the ubiquitous "grey" fakes abound.
As mentioned on a previous thread, I know that an example without a "cracked reverse wing" exists and I will try and obtain permission to publish the example.
In the meantime, here are two examples of the SA Wehrmannschaften buckle with the flaw to the tool (cracked wing) that we all have to be content with.
Posted are two examples and whilst the obverse detail appears the same, the reverse detail is strikingly odd and very different.
No need to isolate the obvious differences as hopefully, the images and to include the photo merge, speak for themselves.
As always, any comments, observations et al would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks for posting David and again two outstanding examples you have shown. I hope you get permission to post pics of that buckle, it would indeed be a first for me
