SA buckle - opinions pls

That is a strange buckle, never saw something like it....
I would love to hear comments on thise one!!

I think it is possibly a mix of buckles, look at the rear , the pins that fold down , two appear broken as if the centre piece has been replced and as they were being replaced, broke, it doesnt look right to me, more comments needed

A first for me, although one thing that i am certain about is that the SA roundel is not one of the known (so far at least), fakes or fantasies.

I just do not have the experience to say for certain as to whether the box is post 1945 (as I suspect it is) or one of the strange and wonderful "Imperials" (as I suspect it is not).

As Dave suggested, a mix of buckles and I think a wrong mix.

Interestingly, "4 tab" SA buckles are very rare and I know of only one quite specific design.

That buckle doesn't look right to me. A "put together" piece as already mentioned. Not worth the money - SA's are still generally affordable. I would hunt for something else. Good luck!
