Well I must say Ivan, that first one is a corker, looks like it has been in a time warp. I have been trying to find fault with it but cannot see nothing at the mo, I will have another good look at the makers mark but on first impression mate well done The dogs head is also very nice

    Dear Iván

I do so like the Assmann SA that you have shown and as Markus has quite rightly confirmed, one from a recent hoard find. Lovely non issued condition with of course the bonus of the RZM UE 8 stamping to the inner lip of the buckle. Assmann !

Perhaps not the most exciting of SA's by design, however one with a makers provenance by appearing within the Assmann catalogue. Here we have advertised the same buckle in both 45 mm and 40 mm form.

The buckle with a mobile swastika is documented with both a "gold" (brass) and "silver" (nickle silver), box. Perhaps slightly less known is that the same "Assmann eagle" is oddly, encountered with a sun-wheel swastika.

A super buckle and complete with the tissue wrap which would have nestled the Assmann distribution box of (I think) 25.

    Regards,

    David
