Re: SA Buckles (Brass) Mobile Swastika
Thomas
I still need to post some of my SA "brass with sun wheel swastika" and "nickle with mobile swastika". Hopefully will follow shortly.
Never have counted the different designs and I shudder to think how many. "New" designs do appear from time to time, however and unfortunately, there are a few SA box buckles known to me as residing in private collections, which I do not hold examples of.
Regards,
David

You have shown and in my opinion, a very rare design of SA.
Here are images of the 2 that I hold.

Hi David,
Why do you say that? I've had a quick look through the thread and there seems a wide variation in design of SA buckles.
Do you know the maker and date of this design?
Thanks for your interest,
VonBond

You have hit the nail on the head.
As you say, "...I've had a quick look through the thread and there seems a wide variation in design of SA buckles...". There is indeed a wide variety and some designs we see on a regular basis. Others however not so and the SA buckle that you showed is in my opinion, a very rare SPECIFIC DESIGN of eagle and swastika.
Sorry, no idea who the maker was or exactly when the buckle was manufactured.

David

Hi David,
Thanks for the interest in my buckle and for providing further information.
I had posted this on another forum before posting it here and all I got was that it was genuine, but no mention of any rarity.
Thanks,
VonBond

Re: SA Buckles (Brass) Mobile Swastika
Hi all, I saw a very nice SA buckle in pristine condition last week at a local fair. The roudel was nickel but attached to the reverse by only one central soldered point, it also has a leather maker's leather tab attached. I think it's a repro, am I right? I'll post picks of my SA buckle after the holiday. Cheers, Roland.

I will start a new thread in connection with your interesting question of:-
"...I saw a very nice SA buckle in pristine condition last week at a local fair. The roundel was nickel but attached to the reverse by only one central soldered point, it also has a leather maker's leather tab attached. I think it's a repro, am I right?...".
Look forward to images of your SA buckles after Easter !

David
