Strange marking for the buckle with post 1 with the M4 code,
as is the golden anodizing. It looks as if they used the wrong
material for the buckle and for that reason the color is so
faded with this anodizing. Some materials one cannot properly
anodize with gold. The buckles of this pattern should have,
when gilded, a highly and shiny gold en coating. This is what
was explained to me at visits at the Overhoff-concern.

I have seen quite some of these buckles. A friend of mine owns
six of these SA High leaders. None of them has an RZM marking,
but merely the A for Assmann and the FLL for Friedrich Linden.

Just my observations. Just like that!! Maybe I am an isolated
    case with this?

Assmann experimented with different markings. There is a similar buckle marked 1

Here is a belt buckle with a collection of Ron C. My buckle has the exact same color.

Lovely. It's like seeing the crown jewels. Are any photos extant of this being worn?

Vlad, could you post a picture of your avatar buckle. I like the design better than the standard issue SS buckle.

I do not see any picture using this buckle. Perhaps this buckle was an experiment, a prototype ... I do not know.
