I've come across the buckle and I'm not very familiar with them. I have seen that fakes do exist from this maker.

Yes Andrea, these bad boys are faked mate, if you look in the rouges gallery you will find a few in there, these on here are original examples

You need to pay attention to the die flaw on the reverse of the buckle, notice the eagle's wing is not completely formed on authentic examples. Pieces from this maker were all created using the same methods, thus they all should have this flaw, which is very easy to spot once you know what to look for.
