Very nice buckles David and not so often seen, do you think these are probably early made buckles?

For such a "common" buckle, very little is known or has been researched about the SA.

In my opinion, no one and I really mean no one, has any supporting evidence whatsoever that confirms which year the SA box buckle was first worn. Forget and ignore the reference books and the so called experts - nobody knows and everyone guesses.

As such "early made" is somewhat difficult to define.

    Regards,

    David
