Hello. I ran across this odd Aug. Knecht dagger. Looks pretty early to me. What's odd is this has a unique stamping on the scabbard. Has anyone seen this or able to explain what it may signify? Thank you.

Regiment or unit stamping...not common but they are out there. Regards Larry

Currently there are a few guys from Austria that sell these unit marked SA's on egun and militaria321.
Looking at the rate in which these unit marked Sa's popup its easy to tell they are stamped recently, also often seen pressure/stamp bumps on the upper fitting etc...so they are forged quite a lot these days, ruin decent SA's for a few bucks by adding unit stamps
    It makes me sick.
Btw yours is looking fine, all these fakes ive seen recently have double markings: upperfitting & Lower guard.

    Regards,
    Ger
