I got my hands on a beautiful genuine aged SA dagger on Sunday and on the reverse is a brigade stamp! If you would like to check authenticity or anything else on the knife please feel free.

Sorry for the shocking pictures for the brigade stamp, the gau marking says Nrh and the number which the soldier added says 14 34237
I would like to know who what and where this was, I have a document telling me which of the starting numbers mean (14) and what area that was however the army number I need a lil assistance. Thanks!

The Gruppe marking NRH is for Gruppe Niederrhein. These are mistakenly referred to at times as Gau stamps. The number is the SA man's membership number. I hope this helps. I am not sure what you are referring to as a "Brigade stamp."

The 14 at the start of the number is almost like a region, the numbers after that was the number assigned to the soldier; the dealer told me these are known as brigade stamps (whether this is true or not idk 100%)

    See here:

The eagle looks like the later alloy type found on RZM quality daggers. I suspect it has been replaced.

    Cheers, Ade.

So it is quite possible this is a transitional dagger? The eagle itself is not magnetic, it feels like nickel; there is some weight behind the handle with it in maybe aluminium with original handle e.t.c idk im still stuck. The makers mark is:
Also thank's very much Adrian I really appreciate the input (:

E P & S Soligen, and other pics of it's beauty maybe this was meant to have that eagle? (the brown stains on the outside is nicotine staining, so what ever alloy it is wasn't affected by the nicotine)

    E.P.& S. = Ernst Pack & Sohn.

I agree with Ade, the eagle appears to be a replacement
as it also sits out a bit too far.........

However on this model, the eagle is an original refit?
