Default Back Yard Partial Rohm, Eickhorn.

Back Yard grind job done by the SA man himself !

Good part of Ernst Rohm name still survived, early small double oval with smooth tail squirrel logo trademark , most of the burnishing left in the motto & inscription, crossgrain still pretty evident although slightly faint, Gruppe marked Ns, Lovely uncleaned patina on all the nickle fittings.

Hi Scott...a very nice example of a half hearted attempt of a Partial Rohm. Seems to me..the original owner was a Rohm supporter..by the weak removal of the " Name only". The grip still shows signs of Laquer including a tight grip fit to crossguard. The blade still shows signs of crossgraining...nice to see that on these types. Nice score Scott . Regards Larry

That is a nice uncleaned Part.Rohm you got there Scott!
It has that typical very thin anodation that easily catches some surface rust, mostly found on the early Rohms!

    Cheers,

Today marks the Anniversary 81 years..of the demise and removal of the SA leader Ernst Rohm. This thread is dedicated to those daggers which had the " In Heartfelt Comradeship Ernst Rohm "
Please post any type of Rohm dedication dagger here on this thread..whether it is a Full inscription left intact....a partial grinding ( Name only removed ) ..or a full ground down total removal of inscription.

    Regards Larry

I am really not a dagger collector.
I mostly collect US helmets and some German helmets.
I have an add on CL and I was contacted by a guy who had a German Dagger.
I picked this one up over the weekend.
The holster is a repro but everything else is authentic.
It is a factory ground Rohm Aesculap.
I am told that Aesculap Rohms are hard to find.
I want to thank Larry C and the other members who helped me before I made the purchase.
As I said, I mostly collect US and German helmets so I know little to nothing about daggers.
    Hope you enjoy.

Default June 30 1934 - Rohm inscription pattern

    Hi All,
I picked this one up recently, it is a nice Eickhorn Ground Rohm with the lowered small oval trademark, I believe the ground job is not professional but a very good back yard/semi pro removal that took away all of the inscription and part of the trademark, the dagger overall is in great condition, the blade is a beauty with the usual runner marks, the fittings took on a nice even golden patina which is hard to see in the photo's, but trust me its pretty damn sweet in hand, Gau marked Fr, the scabbard and ball is dent free, the grip has a few pressure marks and the eagle still shows amazing detail, I know we dont like to talk about price but im sure we all know that decent early SA's start around 600, so when this was offered to me for under 500 it became a no brainer purchase, enjoy the pics and as always thank you for looking and commenting
