This is a pair of SA daggers i picked up 3 days ago. They are not in excellent shape but for what was paid it is very reasonable.

The lighter colored handled is a pre-war dagger with a "Fr" Franken code made by J.R. Sauer & Sohn in very good condition with slight sheath wear to the blade.

The other dagger is RZM marked "M7/68 "Tigerwerk Lauterjung & Co., Solingen" very nice blade only sheath wear. It is missing the lower screws to hold the sheath tip but i have replacements coming.

I feel i did well. Please forgive the bad photo's.

Hi Ty, they look like two honest original daggers. Well done on getting them.

    Cheers, Ade,

2 nice honest daggers, I especially like the "Tiger" RZM. One of the better makers I think

    Thanks guys.

Yes, i really love these. I have been looking for quite a while but my budget has been very limited for one reason or another. I was going to buy just the Sauer then the owner said he actually had 2 for sale. I made him an offer for the pair and he accepted it. All the retail dealers in my area were asking too much for one.

So i actually got 2 for the price of one

Nice daggers. But it brings up an interesting question. Should a collector buy daggers in fair condition at a lower price, or pay more for higher quality? I lean toward the latter, unless the price is an absolute giveaway.

Try to buy for quality. Of course if the price is reasonable.
