    Default NSKK half chain pickup

Hello gang this was on another forum the other week, so i mailed the guy andd received it the other day, this is apart of a dagger that just keeps creeping out of affordability range for me so! i thought at least i will have a part of one to keep my addiction at bay for a short while it is stamped M5/8 for E.W Assman & sohn, you can note the shape of the hole to the bottom link is "horseshoe shape " as it should be, and full links not split, so here are some pics to have a look at,
    thanks for looking,
    cheers Ronnie

    Hi Ronnie,

    well its a nice start
Wow you got me scared a little Ronnie with this chain.
I only saw red flags all over it.
It has nothing done as it should, the RZM stamp on the right most upper 5 chained link, where normally the NSKK Muster marking should be.
Second type ( late war chain) with a small link soldered to the clip, and a RZM marking so different from the what is known to be the proper one, used in the first 4-5 years.
    So now the good news:
I show you the pics of my chain ( 1st type, small link to the clip and scabbard fitting.
Then i show you a very late 5/8 chained, just like yours marked completely wrong on the link connected to lower scabbard fitting.
So in the last days none of the protocols where left....and they stamped it like they felt...
    Enjoy your chain Ronnie!
    Cheers Ger
