re: Requesting help on identifying/validating an NSKK Dienstdolch
Haco is a known maker of TR daggers. Yours appears to be a legitimate SA dager with a desirable three piece hanger. The "B" stamped would be the group that this one was delivered to.
Hope this helps,
Ralph.

A good NSKK dagger. Note the black painted scabbard which defines it.
Cheers, Ade.

Ade,
Is that also a factor in the lighter wood? I always wondered why the wood seemed so dark on other SA daggers vs. this one.

re: Requesting help on identifying/validating an NSKK Dienstdolch
This is a real nice dagger.
Haco's are valued by many, more than other SA's. They ALWAYS have a B gau stamp. I believe that HACO was a distributor and not the true manufacturer, I could be wrong on that. The grips and crossguards make me suspect that these were produced in the Suhl tradition similar to Kobers and Haenels. Finally if you ever decide to take this one apart there is a secret marking on the inside...
I'm happy for you great score!
