SA Dagger Aesculap near mint!
Hi Gents This weekend I picked up this beautiful SA dagger for my private collection. Purchased from a fellow collector it was in its own collection.
This Aesculap daggers are known for their beautiful lacquered grips. 95% of this lacquer is still present and thats quite unique because it quickly comes off.
The blade has left all its crossgrain and the motto is deep en with the dark background. Also the anodised scabbard has no signs of wear or dents on it, it looks almost new. Also the nickel silver guards en fittings haves no issues lower crossguard has the SW gruppe mark . The early 3 piece hanger has the same collor as the grip and makes it nice and complete.
Enjoy the pics and every comment is welcome

What more can I say except that the Cherry on the cake with this producer is the total amount of laquer left on the grip. The condition is outstanding,. including the sharp contour ridges of the grip. I love them in Near mint condition.. and still shows ownership.
It is not the size of a Collection in History that matters......Its the size of your Passion for it!!

Waw Raphael, that's a beauty for sure.
I don't know a lot of SA-daggers but I would not be unhappy having it in my own collection.
Not going to be easy upgrading That beauty! That is an Excellent and early SA by any way you look at it. Nice pick up!

Raf you did very well, great one for sure!!
Its very hard to get them in this condition.
Thx for showing this beauty.
Very nice Rafael Congrats on an excellent find.
This is one of the best early SA pieces i have ever seen. The scabbard is in MINT condition!! the nickle silver on this one looks more silver than nickle hehe, so shiny! I haven`t seen a lot of SA dagger with lacquered grips, but like Larry says you don`t see them like this. An ultra nice dagger with its own look and you can just tell that 3-piece hanger belongs there!
Nice score man!! I would not mind owning this one...
Thank you guys for the positive comments, It's nice to know you all
