What would the value be on this, as the tip of the blade has some damage, looks like the broken tip has been there for a very very long time, like it might have been dropped by the original owner, but who really knows...

It is marked BO on the hilt, and the maker mark is 'Neihardrt Schmidt brotterode'.

It is in an uncleaned condition and not the best shape, but it's all there.

Hard to tell from your photos if the hanger is correct for this dagger
because it is not attached correctly, but these alone can go for $50 to $100.

I'd guess this is also a fairly uncommon maker..................

In the past ten years I've seen these for around $400 CDN to over $1000, depending
on condition and maker, but I can't give you a current value.

    Regards,

    Steve.

Hi Brian, a good untouched dagger, such a pity about the tip off the blade.

    Certainly not a common maker.

I can only guess at a value. I would suggest around $500?

    Cheers, Ade.
